What the Guarantee Covers

  • Completion of unfinished work

If a member walks away from a project or fails to finish it as written in your Statement of Work, we arrange to have it completed.

  • Repair or replacement of defective work

Labor that materially fails to meet the written scope, materials, or specifications you agreed on.

  • Up to $10,000 per project

At the Guild's election: completion of the work, repair or replacement, or financial compensation for damage directly caused by the member's default.

If Something Goes Wrong

  1. Tell the member first. Notify the contractor in writing and give them a reasonable opportunity to fix it. Most issues end here.
  2. File a Notice of Default. If it isn't resolved, submit a Notice of Default to the Guild within 60 days of the documented completion date, with your Statement of Work, proof of payment, and supporting photos or correspondence.
  3. We assess and resolve. The Guild reviews the claim, inspects the site if needed, and elects the remedy: completion by another member, repair, or compensation up to $10,000.
